I am having fun using my new camera. I haven't unlocked all it's awesomeness yet, but I am still learning. I'm actually going to watch the two DVDs that came with the camera kit to see if it tells me anything I don't already know. I'm going to be posting up some new pics soon, after I tweak them a tad in PS. So I have been entering quite a few contests lately. I just got an email saying that: "A deviant Has Given You a deviantART Premium Membership!" As in, someone bought it for me as a gift... but it doesn't say who did it. I'm thinking that it happened because of the contest I entered for the Sony Panoramic Shot. Just entering it was supposed to give those with qualifying entries a free premium membership for a month. So I'm thinking that's what it was. If it wasn't that, then I have another guess but I won't say it...

I finally saved up enough cash to buy myself a nice digital slr camera! I purchased a Nikon D5000 kit that comes with the normal 18-55 mm Nikkor lens, and also a 55-200 mm Nikkor lens. I got it through Costco because they were having a sale on the package. I was kind of upset at how much the sales tax was for it, and threatened to drive up to Oregon to buy a similar set-up... but I decided that would be silly. lol Altogether it was about $900.
